National Grid is hiring a Lead Data Quality Analyst for our Customer Data Office team.  This role can be based in Waltham MA, Northboro MA, or Syracuse NY.

Job Purpose

 

 

US Customer Data Office seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lead Data Quality Analyst.

 

 

The Lead Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of customer data across National Grid. This role requires a strong understanding of data quality principles, methodologies, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in data profiling, data analysis, and implementing data quality controls.

 

 

The Lead Data Quality Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data quality issues, establish data quality standards, and improve overall data integrity.

Key Accountabilities

 

 

 

  • Develop and implement data quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues, gaps, and anomalies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and establish data quality rules.
  • Design and execute data quality tests and validation processes.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, including data cleansing, deduplication, and error correction.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and generate reports to track data quality performance.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement data quality controls and ensure data integrity.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and data governance initiatives.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in data quality management.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote data quality awareness and best practices.
  • Present findings, analyses, and action plans to technical and non-technical users.

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration.
  • 5-7 years’ proven experience as a Data Quality Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data quality principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in data profiling tools, data quality management software, and SQL.
  • Experience with Snowflake or other large scale cloud-based data storage solutions.
  • Experience with Informatica or Reltio data management tool suites a plus.
  • Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK practices and organizational data governance frameworks
  • Excellent analytical and business and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Continuous learning mindset and willingness to adapt to new technologies and techniques.
  • Experience with utility regulatory compliance requirements a plus.
  • Ability to work with large teams and numerous stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills with the ability to distill complex technical details for a non-technical audience

Salary

$125,000 - $147,000 a year

 

Salary commensurate with experience.

 

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
