Grainger Corporate Services LLC is seeking a Data Engineer in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements): Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field plus 5 years related experience. Prior experience must include: Architect and implement cloud data lake solutions, resolving discrepancies collaboratively and providing ongoing support to cross-functional teams; Design and implement secure, performant data models to meet scalability and performance needs; Develop data pipelines to ingest, cleanse and enrich data for analytics using distributed frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive etc.; Enable data discovery and curation for analytical purpose by collaborating with data scientists and provide data integration solutions; Create analytical reports to support all stake holders by building data products; Collaborate with stakeholders including team and product managers to create secure and efficient data products; Collaborate with architects and stake holders to design data lakes and create data products; Ensure that data processing pipelines and ETL jobs are designed for scalability, making use of distributed technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Hive to handle increasing data volumes efficiently. 100% remote work allowed.
