Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Twenty20 Systems. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines that empower our organization to make data-driven decisions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implement data solutions, and ensure data accuracy and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop efficient and scalable data pipelines to facilitate data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Collaborate with data architect and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement effective data solutions.
- Implement data engineering best practices and standards to ensure the quality, reliability, and maintainability of our data pipelines.
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data to end-users.
- Build robust data workflows and automation processes to streamline data processing and analysis.
- Implement data quality and data governance processes to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of data.
- Identify and resolve data-related issues and bottlenecks, contributing to the continuous improvement of our data infrastructure.
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers, helping them enhance their technical skills and grow their careers.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the field of data engineering, bringing new ideas and solutions to the team.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced and data-intensive environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Expertise in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Airflow or Luigi.
- Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
