What you’ll do:

  • Reporting into the BI Director, you will partner closely with the business to deliver quality, trusted data solutions within a timely and consistent manner primarily using Power BI.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand the demand for data products and how they will create maximum value for Xe through financial and non-financial benefits
  • Understanding, challenging and refining the requirements to solve business problems and then delivering those through Power BI
  • Ensure adoption of products by the target audience within through effective change management and communication strategy to drive efficiencies and maximum value to the organisation
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the data within our core systems
  • Create, maintain and produce ad-hoc reports that answer business questions

Requirements

Who you are;

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of developing reports and dashboards using Power BI
  • Create and work with existing datasets to optimize data retrieval and presentation for report generation.
  • Proven ability to clean, transform and combine multiple separate data sources using Power BI to generate ready-to-use datasets.
  • Support on ad-hoc data extraction & analysis projects
  • Ability to understand and implement complex DAX calculations
  • Strong experience of Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio; experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication & influencing skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise projects, and deliver actionable insights within short turnaround time when required. 
  • Be curious, innovative, creative, and agile, developing and championing new ideas, spotting opportunities, and learning fast along the way
