As a Vice President within the Firmwide Finance Business Architecture team (FFBA), you will be at the forefront of managing large-scale data and business process change events. Your role will also encompass providing centralized program management and business analysis capabilities. As a Vice President on the Business Architecture Core Services Team, your duties will include overseeing the delivery of applications and tools that facilitate data management and reporting. As a Product Owner, you will be tasked with modernizing applications and services for both internal and external reporting, aligning these with crucial firm-wide initiatives. You will collaborate closely with users and technology within an agile framework, ensuring that the team consistently maximizes delivery value in line with the firm’s objectives.

Job responsibilities:

Vice President on the Business Architecture Core Services Team: 

  • Vice President on the Business Architecture Core Services Team
  • Partner closely with Finance users, Corporate Technology (CT) & external vendors to deliver strategic solution
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert and Product Owner support to the programs
  • Work closely with Finance stakeholders to define statement of work; including objectives, scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, priorities, governance models and agile sprint plans
  • Organize, schedule, coordinate, and control project activities and resources
  • Promote components of Finance Reference Data Platform based initiatives, coordinating across technology and businesses
  • Identify issues and risks including defining a mitigation strategy, plus communication or escalation as required.
  • Ensure operational readiness through both rigorous testing and implementation management
  • Support operating model impact assessments and documentation of changes, and promote the implementation communication. Identify areas of improvement, best practices in processes, brainstorm and propose solutions to address issues and concerns in a timely manner.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Minimum 10 years working experience with 5+ years in the banking industry. University Degree with Accountancy, Finance, or Information Systems
  • Ability to translate and streamline complex business requirements from business partners into actionable tasks for technology team. Possess fundamental understanding of data structures and database design
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
  • Proven history of successful implementation and execution of completed projects. Strong leadership skills, ability to influence outcomes, promote resolutions, guide and mentor the team
  • A relationship builder with the ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and technology partners. Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-promoten environment, demonstrates excellent time management and planning skills, and possesses the ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time. Positive attitude and easy to work with while delivering on high priority, time sensitive initiatives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
  • Highly inquisitive, solution-focused, enthusiastic, diligent, and capable of challenging status-quo. Support different time zones across APAC, EMEA and/or liaise with interdependent teams in the US
