Mission:

The IoT & BD International Services area is part of the International Services & Customer Engineering Direction (ISS&CE) of Telefónica Global Solutions. Its main function is to define the business strategy and the positioning of our IoT services in the market to achieve the expected targets in terms of revenues and results, while bringing the specialized technical support in the projects of our customers.

 

As Head of IoT & BD International Services, you will be leading the team responsible for the Internet of things (IoT) and Big Data business within Telefonica Global solutions, both from a solution architecture and economics perspective. Defining revenue and gross margin objectives while driving and leading all needed activities and work streams, with different teams such as Sales, presales, Product marketing, vendor management, etc, throughout the year to make sure these objectives are met.

 

Functions and Tasks 

  • Elaboration and monitoring of the IoT&BD business plan (Funnel, Sales, Revenue, gross margin and Business KPIs)
  • Relationship between the BAU and Partners
  • Dialogue with Marketing and DDSS
  • Define, lead, coordinate and push the action plan with T. Tech, as well as with the different legal entities of the Group and the internal areas of T. Global Solutions (Sales, Presales, DN)
  • Negotiation with T.Tech for projects and models
  • Cloud & IoT - Consumption/Billing Control
  • Ensuring sales, revenue and profitability
  • Monitoring and Optimization of the e2e process
  • Design of a new process, offer and follow-up CoM
  • You will need to create and secure an action plan to secure budget
  • Lead the Bid/Penalty Committee
  • Competence Center: Specialist management of complex technology deals. Thou..
  • Specialist support in customers and with pre-sales/sales in technologically complex solutions or with business decisions with relevant impact
  • Management of the team and resources assigned to the area.

Qualifications, Training & Experience

  • At least 10 years of international management in the IoT Business field.
  • Minimum of 5 years within the past 10 of demonstrated experience in Technology both in IoT and Big Data
  • Proven knowledge of Business Case management (creating and understanding Business Cases)
  • Bachelor´s degree (Business, Engineering o Telecommunications preferred)
  • A master degree is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, with proven experience in successfully presenting to customers.
  • Experience successfully managing analytically rigorous corporate initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team and matrix organization environment.
  • Strong personal leadership skills, including planning, goal setting, resource allocation and problem solving.
  • Ability to work in multicultural environments.
  • Commitment to ethical business practices always.
  • PC proficiency
  • Fluent in English and Spanish. Any other language is a plus
