AI Product Owner

Job Description

Are you passionate about advancing our digital solutions that impact the daily work of sales, technical support, installers and design engineers across the world? Are you customer-oriented and have a business mindset together with a strong understanding of AI trends? Then you might be our new AI Product Owner in Danfoss Climate Solutions.

You will become part of an international company and join the Digital Tools team. The team has a proven track record of developing and maintaining two significant mobile applications, Ref Tools and Installer App. These applications, tailored for cooling and heating installers, have garnered more than 350,000 active HVAC installers globally each month (over 1 million unique users yearly), demonstrating their widespread success and effectiveness. Additionally, our team is involved in creating various product selection tools, ranging from straightforward selectors to sophisticated, application-specific solutions.

We have recently started working on various AI and ML projects, including internal LLMs, computer vision applications, and sales forecasting initiatives. These projects aim to address key challenges within our operations and customers, and you will play a key role in ensuring their success. 

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will work both with your individual tasks and responsibilities as well as with managing and owning several digital products. The position requires a collaborative and flexible approach, as you will be working individually on projects, but at the same time collaborating a lot in cross-functional teams with software developers, external partners and other stakeholders.

You will apply your “customer first” mindset to all projects. Furthermore, you will:

• Be responsible for developing, maintaining, testing, and evaluating AI and ML solutions

• Influence the mission, strategy and roadmap for AI initiatives

• Own the product lifecycle from discovery to launch and driving measurable business impact

• Define and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on customer and business needs, data, and feedback.

• Utilize wireframes, mockups, and simple prototypes to pitch ideas, test and recommend improvements

• Measure and evaluate product performance, user behavior, and customer satisfaction using qualitative and quantitative methods. 

• Stay updated on recent trends and opportunities in the AI and ML landscape

• Define metrics and KPIs to measure and report progress

Background & Skills

Your educational background is not that important, but you need to have a customer-oriented and structured mindset, and a good understanding of how digital products are built. You possess an understanding of Agile/Scrum methods and can apply these e.g.:

• Deep understanding of the AI domain, including up-to-date knowledge of current technologies, their capabilities and limitations, and their application in practical scenarios.

• Drive product development from early concept to final delivery 

• Embed continuous development and delivery processes (think MVP first) into the project(s)

• Maintain clear communication across project stakeholders and developers 

• Manage and prioritize product backlogs as well as project/stakeholder needs (think scope, budget and time)

• Ability to translate user/customer needs into clear and actionable acceptance criteria for new products and/or feature development

On a personal level, you can focus on the important details while maintaining a holistic view. You like to learn and have the ability to understand very complex situations and digital ecosystems. Last but not least, you are a strong communicator and proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
