Join us at OP Group in our mission to develop solutions that combat money laundering and other financial crime. We are currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst to complement our Anti-Financial Crime area. Together, we can make an impact in ensuring a safer world!
  
What is this role about?
 
The Senior Data Analyst role revolves around producing information and insights for business needs using appropriate statistical methods. As a Data Analyst, you will develop reports, visualizations, and analytics for the needs of the Anti-Financial Crime tribe, utilizing programming languages and tools related to databases, analytics, and reporting. You will ensure that AFC systems receive high-quality and up-to-date data.
 
This opportunity is available in Helsinki. Like the rest of OP, we work flexibly, combining both office days and remote work.
 
What we hope from you:
 
To succeed in this role, you have an interest in learning the business processes and the ability to identify data deficiencies related to them. You can present things in an understandable way for people working in the business organization. 

 

You can design and define conceptual and data models as well as data flows. You understand Data Governance models. You have experience in Machine Learning and AI utilization (algorithms, Natural Language Processing (NLP), data segmentation and classification). Familiarity with BCBS 239 (Basel Committee on Banking Supervision's standard number 239) is considered an advantage.

 

We hope that you are a trustworthy person with good collaboration skills and a willingness to share your knowledge and expertise with others. We value self-direction, solution-oriented working style, and a willingness to proactively take responsibility. In work-related matters, you communicate fluently in English, Finnish skills are an advantage, but not mandatory.

We hope that you would have a strong experience of the following technologies:

 

  • SQL and relational databases (such as DB2)

  • Microsoft PoweBI

  • Programming in Python and R

  • IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog

 

We use Agile and DevOps, so we hope that you are familiar with modern software development methods & tools and have an agile mindset. You can work creatively and systematically, and you are able to identify dependencies, problems, and risks.
