About the Role

 

The Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring data quality verification, providing the requested information, data extraction and statistical analysis. The incumbent must develop compelling data visualizations, presentations and written reports. He/she is responsible for regularly extracting performance indicators and also synthesizing research results to develop clear and concise messages and recommendations intended for internal and external audiences. The Data Analyst reports to the Traceability Project Coordinator

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Oversee activities of updating the registers of farmers groups:

  • Develops all the tools necessary for updating registers

  • provides support to AT team for updating registers

  • Remove corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems

  • Work closely with AT teams to ensure all registers farmers are corrected and M&E team to guarantee all register data collected is uploaded in our global platform.

 

In-charge of the quality of the Katchile deliveries data:

  • Train the back offices in charge of data processing in the Katchile web

  • Filter and “clean” deliveries data by reviewing Katchile data or reports

  • Interpret deliveries data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports

  • Locate and define new collect process improvement opportunities of deliveries data

  • Analyzing data to find answers to specific questions

 

In-charge of the quality of mapping and census data collected in the field:

  • Supports the AT team in processing map data and ensure map data processed is of good quality

  • Have working sessions with the AT team to compile lists of producers for full data and to follow the evolution of the activity.

  • Ensure all activity monitoring files (documentary traceability, field reports, PCA constraints, etc.) are correctly completed by the TAs and also ensure the quality of the information.

 

Oversee activities of farmer Yield Control:

  • Analyze risk cocoa infiltration from protected areas in our value chain.

  • Ensure availability and reliability of data for internal reporting and to Client.

  • Implement internal / external reporting according to the frequency requested


 

About You

 

  • Diploma in Data Sciences, Statistics and/or Programming Development Bac+3 agricultural sector, traceability, sustainable development, sourcing

  • Experienced in designing or working in sustainable KPI frameworks and as well as in using and reporting from SAP and other databases, experience in database design.

  • Ability to explain complex reporting processes to end users with strong coaching and training skills

  • Ability to speak both French and English

  • Experienced in the Agri. Development/Traceability/ Sustainability sector is a plus. 

  • Well versed in Microsoft Excel/ GIS and other analytical tools (Python, R)

  • Strong analytical and critical skills to ensure excellence in data and consistency in KPI reporting

  • Experience in small holder agricultural empowerment programs 

  • Ability to motivate and work under pressure, self-discipline, tactful, reliable and trustworthy

  • Independence and quick learning ability

  • Experience in cocoa or other tropical commodities is a real plus
