In addition to HP’s mission of innovating new and reinventing existing technologies that make life better for everyone, everywhere, HP aims to be Net Zero by 2040, with interim carbon reduction goals by 2030. We are expanding our Climate Team to advance these goals in the area of logistics.
This position reports into the Climate Director and is focused on working with our supply chain environmental team to help drive sustainability initiatives in order to meet our ambitious climate goals. In this position, you will use your expertise in sustainability to manage data and processes that will enable HP to meet our ambitious carbon reduction goals, as well as meet our market access, regulatory and reporting requirements.
This individual shall be able to solve problems of diverse complexity and scope, handle most unique situations and exercise independent judgment, and act as a project leader providing direction to team activities and the team decision making process.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with other Climate Team members and the Supply Chain Operations team to improve supplier data quality and implement SOX-level controls around supplier environmental data.
- Partner with the Data Management Team to ensure supply chain environmental data is included in their data management tools and can be used for supplier data collection, processing, and reporting.
- Manage continual improvement of supplier environmental data management.
- Assure data readiness to enable compliance with any market access, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Create team tracking tools to enable the supply chain team to manage supplier sustainability data, reporting and metrics, and progress towards goals.
- Create team documentation of data management systems and processes.
- Be the point of contact for providing data to other teams to meet regulatory, reporting and market access needs.
- Assist with data needs to help develop communications materials (e.g., trainings, contract language, FAQs) and respond to customer and internal inquiries.
- Partner with the Climate Team’s carbon footprinting experts to include carbon reduction data needs into supplier data management tools.
Education and Experience Required:
- First level university degree; may have advanced university degree.
- Prior experience in carbon footprinting, supply chain sustainability, and tools development.
- Ideally, 4+ years in a supplier data management function.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Expertise in supply chain sustainability and data management.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and high-level modeling tools.
- Very strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; mastery in English.
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced, often-changing environment, self-motivated, ability to learn quickly and work nimbly and to tight deadlines.
