About the role:

The mission of DoubleVerify is to provide media buyers with fully automated buying strategies for display campaigns, leading to uncompared  performances for a minimum of human work. 

The Data Engineering team is at the core of the DV product, and is responsible for communication between DV and its partners.
All teams need correct and reliable data. We ingest diverse and volumetric data. The team also manages outbound communications with partners. We use partner api cross-referenced with a set of business rules to upload models generated by the scibids product.

As Manager, Data Engineering, your role will be to lead the data engineer team and participate in the development of the project.

You'll be responsible for writing OKRs and the Data Engineering roadmap, managing the day-to-day prioritization of tasks and sharing best practices with the team. You'll also study and challenge different ways of ensuring job scalability.

You will also take part in development work to improve the product. The scope of the data engineer varies between:

  • ELT job creation (api dump, data formatting, insertion of big data)
  • Creation of api and lib to help inter-team communications
  • Contribute to the development of a reverse ETL for uploading DoubleVerify models

Reporting to: Senior Director, Data Engineering

Location: Paris, France

​​Minimum qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a data engineer or software engineer
  • At least one experience as a team lead
  • Advanced knowledge of one or several programming languages.
  • SQL & Python proficiency.
  • Knowing how to program in a simple and short way (KISS principle).
  • Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Professional experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience working with two of the following: distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, developing large software systems.
  • Conducting a regular technology watch on data-related subjects.
