Job Description 

As a staff data analyst, you will drive critical decision making and modeling across a range of ambiguous problems in the supply chain. You will be structuring the data, performing analysis, running simulations, and modeling large-scale datasets to optimize business outcomes and facilitate business decision making. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a diverse, growing, and dynamic team. You will be part of an early stage international expansion team where you will get a broad end-to-end view of the expansion of an e-commerce business. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Your roles will entail among others: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for enhancing operations and business solutions.

  • Tackle complex data analysis problems, effectively communicating findings to stakeholders.

  • Provide analysis for launched solutions to quantify outcomes.

  • Formulate business concerns as technical problems solvable using data and math/stat methods.

  • Co-build data analytics culture within the supply chain automation team.

  • Develop analytics, success metrics, dashboards, and simulations for products, business, and operations

  • Define KPIs and identify improvement opportunities in supply chain analytics.

  • Conduct experimentation, A/B tests, and product analytics.

  • Supply Chain Analytics – defining KPIs and identifying improvement opportunities.

  • Build reporting dashboards in tableau / Power BI. Insights / analytics in Jupyter notebook.

 

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in Business Analytics / Data Analytics / Machine Learning.

  • 5+ years of relevant working experience in an analytical role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling, and communication 

  • Excellent quantitative analysis skills 

  • Strong experience in statistics/ML fundamentals and demonstrated experience in Python, SQL, and visualization tools. 

  • - Strong critical thinking skills and ability to solve problems using data science and machine learning fundamentals.

  • Expertise to conduct analysis independently for a business problem through data manipulation, formulation of hypotheses, design and statistical analysis of experiments to test them

 

Preferences

  • Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, and Presto

  • Experience working in e-commerce domain

  • Experience in e-commerce, retail/FMCG & distribution (e.g. Discount Store, CVS) or global companies

  • Experience with Supply chain / Inventory Planning / Demand & Supply Planning
