What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Director, the Senior Consultant, Business Intelligence, will contribute to the Risk Business Intelligence Office (RBIO) by applying their combined business intelligence and risk analytics focused background to help develop new initiatives and enhancements to the risk domain business intelligence. This will include collaborating with the stakeholders, designing and solutioning business needs through leading edge BI and visualization techniques to accelerate information uptake and to maximize comprehension through intuitive and actionable reporting and dashboarding.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

How you’ll succeed

  • Design and deliver insightful and actionable BI/Visualization solutions -  Analyze, design and develop actionable and insightful risk reports and visualizations for various internal and external clients in line with the stakeholder requirements.  Ensure the reporting is accurate, timely and presented in a visually appealing and appropriate means to facilitate audience comprehension.
  • Project planning and execution – Lead end to end business intelligence projects, form requirement gathering to solution deployment. You will be accountable for managing and tracking various commitments to our clients and ensuring that the critical deadlines are closely monitored and not compromised.
  • Relationship building – Build and foster strong collaboration and partnership with the internal and external clients to gather, comprehend and elaborate business needs, and ensuring client approvals prior to implementations.
  • Data Management – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate various data sources into our central reporting platform (RDAL), create mapping documents for the data transformations and ensure the data quality and integrity

 Who you are

  • You are an expert in BI and Analytics solutioning: You have extensive experience in working with business clients to design BI and analytics solutions to their needs You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way and comfortable in making decisions independently. You have thorough understanding of RDBMS, data warehouses and data querying tools (advanced SQL). Prior exposure to Power BI and Cognos is essential.
