Job Title: Corporate Bank Technology – Commercial Banking – QA Engineer

Location: Pune, India

Role Description

Commercial Banking Tribe :-

You’ll be joining the Commercial Bank Tribe, who is focusing on the special needs of the small and medium enterprise clients in Germany, a designated area for further growth and investment within Corporate Bank.

We are responsible for the digital transformation of ~800.000 clients in 3 brands, i.e. the establishment of the BizBanking platform including development of digital sales and service processes as well as the automation of processes for this client segment.

Our tribe is on a journey of an extensive digitalisation of business processes and to migrate our applications to the cloud. On that we are working jointly together with our business colleagues in an agile setup and collaborating closely with stakeholders and engineers from other areas thriving to achieve a highly automated and adoptable process and application landscape.

  • Responsible for technical design, coding, automated unit testing and integration.
  • In case no automatization is possible, taking over manual QA, from TestCase creation, over execution, till reporting.
  • Liaise with the Product Owner, Architects, Product Managers, software engineers/developers and testers regarding the development and implementation of product lines using various technologies.
  • Build and support applications as the QA Engineer.
  • Ensure end-to-end the quality of applications for Commercial Banking to accomplish business goals.
  • Ensure a high-quality standard of deliverables according to Industry standards and best practices.

Your key responsibilities

  • You plan, execute and document manual tests for validating the features delivered by your Squad.
  • You contribute to extend and implement our set of automated test cases in close collaboration with other testers in the team.
  • You proactively search for flaws in our software by conducting explorative tests.
  • You work closely with other Testers, Business Stakeholders, Developers and DevOps Engineers to ensure that test cases reflect requirements, and all relevant scenarios are covered for both functional and non-functional tests (e.g. load tests).
  • You are working in a cross disciplined agile team with shared responsibility and high autonomy and actively engage in test and engineering community, share your knowledge, and build up a solid network.

Your skills and experience

  • University degree with technological or scientific focus or equivalent working experience.
  • Practical experience in software testing: creation, execution, and documentation of manual tests as well as design, implementation, and integration of automated tests.
  • Hands-On Experience with Jira and Confluence and with test automation frameworks / test tools like HP ALM, Selenium, Karate, Postman and Newman. Knowledge of Javascript/Node.js or Java is a plus.
  • You are a good team player who likes to share content and best practices, learns quickly, and listens carefully.
  • You have good communication skills and can communicate fluently in English.
