Role Details:

  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI, Cognos, SQL, and other relevant tools.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Design and create data models, data visualizations, and interactive dashboards that effectively communicate insights.
  • Design and architect multidimensional and tabular SSAS models based on business requirements.
  • Optimize query performance and data retrieval processes to ensure efficient reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in reporting and data visualization.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to maximize their utilization of reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data analytics capabilities and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Apply and integrate statistical, mathematical, predictive modeling, and business analysis skills to manipulate complex high-volume data from a variety of sources.
  • Create new data collection frameworks for structured and unstructured data.
  • Determine appropriate methods to creatively explore, mine, analyze, and manipulate extremely massive data sets.
  • Develop and analyze modeling and measuring techniques using inquisitive creativity along with mathematics, “machine learning”, and statistical/engineering methods to discover many possible solutions to a given problem.
  • Responsible for validating and documenting proven, repeatable Costpoint Purchasing and Materials process workflows and reporting.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining consistent process flows and ensuring deployment of the full capability to drive consistency, assure proper use of tools, and improve functionality
  • Ability to evaluate and determine root causes of failures and inefficiencies within a system.

Required Skills:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, Cognos, SQL, Paginated Reports, SSAS models, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Power Automate), Costpoint, OnBase and Maximo
  • Strong experience and understanding of Oracle Database.
  • Data mining, mathematical and predictive modeling, and statistical analysis skills.
  • Strong business analysis capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data analysis to all levels of the organization.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize business needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a Clearance.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive, relevant work experience
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, Cognos, SQL, and other relevant reporting and data visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and related tools, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality reports and dashboards.
